Bwin.party yesterday issued a statment saying that the sale of the Ongame Poker Network is at an advance stage.

The statment read; “As one of the world’s leading online poker networks with a state-of-the-art technology platform, the sale of Ongame’s B2B business has attracted a number of interested parties.

“The sale process is at an advanced stage but is unlikely to be finalised before the end of the year.”

Bwin purchased Ongame for just under $500m in 2005.

The company went onto state that they are expecting to be one of the first networks to be granted a Danish licence when the regulated online gaming market opens in January 2012.
